ACTIVITIES

Buena Vista RV Park is a scenic little park snuggled peacefully in the countryside. Picturesque, it is a quaint little park that is not only beautiful but also hits the high points for comfort and convenience. Peaceful, quiet, and family friendly, the park is located not far from the bustling small town of Elgin, Texas. We welcome people from all walks of life, whether they be vacationers, tenters, transiting workers, retirees, or just have a job and are raising a family. With its stone-lined reflection pond and beautiful gazebos, Buena Vista is a great place to visit ... or to come home to. Fun fact: we've been in business since 2006.

For the children, we have a large playground with a swing set, big sand pile, a concrete racetrack for the kids to ride bicycles and such safely on. Plus, we have two large playscapes, one is a big wooden "Captain's" Play ship and is naturally shaded by trees. Downtown, the City of Elgin has three more play parks, one with a big swimming pool; another playpark that includes tennis courts and basketball courts; then, still another one, (across from the Post Office on Ave C), with unusual rides such as a zip line!

. The camp is arranged in a circle with the gazebo, shower and laundry facility located in the center. Each site is fully equipped with electrical pedestals, water hook-ups, and dump stations. The laundry and shower facility has two washers and two dryers which are reasonably priced. Upon request, free broadband internet and a key to the mail center are available. Pets are permitted, though we ask that they have their shots and that you not bring aggressive dogs or dogs that bark incessantly into the park. If you have questions about your pet, please give us a call!

Boating and fishing enthusiasts can choose from one of our gorgeous nearby waterways. Spend a day fly fishing on the Colorado River or make use of our local boat rentals for a day of boating at McKinney Roughs Nature Park or on beautiful Lake Bastrop. You can put your craft in the water at Bastrop State Park, do some fishing, and return to Buena Vista RV Park Hikers and backpackers can explore the deep woods of the Lost Pines, following the Independence Trail, or trek the paths of the McKinney Roughs Nature Park.
